The BACC was founded to nurture artists, promote their work, and connect them with opportunities, the public, and cultural institutions. A key achievement has been providing a dedicated space for artists of color to showcase, promote, and sell their work. Currently, we exhibit up to four artists per month, allowing 48 artists each year to share their creations with the community. Exhibiting artists are encouraged to attend the opening night reception, fostering direct connections and meaningful conversations with attendees in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.

  • The 4 L's: A BHM Exhibit

    For the month of February, we are featuring art by Jaylei Art. This will be a solo exhibition showcasing her series “The 4L’s.” The exhibit will be on display from February 7th through February 28th in our Gail Sydnor Gallery during regular business hours. The opening reception for this exhibit will take place on Friday, February 7th, from 5 PM to 8 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.

  • First Friday exhibit feat: Jean Carter

    Join us for our First Friday Exhibit in March! We’re excited to feature six stunning works by visual artist Jean Carter in a solo exhibition on March 7th, from 5 PM to 8 PM.

    Attendance is free, and refreshments will be provided. Come show your support for Jean Carter as we kick off another month celebrating fine art. We can’t wait to see you there!
