BACC hosts the Pre-Kwanzaa Bazaar featuring food, vendors, music, live performances, activities and a screening of the Kwanzaa documentary “The Black Candle” for the entire community.

Shop our online store to order your annual festival shirt, black skin care products or other local art, fashions and products. Pick up items from our office or request shipping.

The Black Arts & Cultural Centers is focused on developing potential and creativity in Blacks in the Kalamazoo area, advance the awareness of Black artistic ability, preserve Black cultural heritage and enhance the interactions among diverse groups in the community.

Art Exhibitions & Film Viewings

BACC showcases the artwork of different local, regional, national and international artists each month in the Gail Sydnor Gallery.  The Art Hop reception held on the first Friday of the month kicks off the exhibition with a different film screening followed by a discussion of the film.

Gallery Rental & Group Events

BACC welcomes community use of the Gail Sydnor Gallery located at 359 S. Kalamazoo Mall Ste. 202 Kalamazoo, MI 49007 inside of the Epic Center. Host a community or private event for up to 50 people in our 482 sq ft space.

Shop Black Culture

Looking to purchase art or merchandise from our Gallery? Stop by Tuesday – Friday between 1:00PM – 5:00PM at 395 S Kalamazoo Mall Ste. 202 to view art available for purchase or shop online.

Face Off Theatre

Face Off Theater Company is the new face of BACC theater. The theater company is operated by a collection of stellar WMU Theater alumna including(Left to Right: Mickey Moses, Tanisha Pyron, Marissa Harrington, Janai Travis, Bianca Washington) almost all of which have been involved with BACC theater in the past.
