KALAMAZOO, MICH- Western Michigan University Alum: From Pursuing his Dreams to Pursuing his PURPOSE
National Speaker and self-proclaimed “Networking King and Versatile Man of the Century” Joe Johnson
is jumpstarting the lives of people all across the country. Johnson, who is known for his energetic
speaking, re-engaging people into their own lives, education and counseling, has addressed thousands
of our youth and young adults over the years.

Johnson will speak to incoming freshman college students during orientation at Western Michigan
University on Thursday August 28th, 2014 at 10:30am in the Miller Auditorium. That afternoon, in
celebration of his two new books “Pursue Your Purpose Not Your Dreams” and “The College Kids”,
Johnson has partnered with the Black Arts & Cultural Center to host a BOOK SIGNING and Discussion
from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Black Arts & Cultural Center in downtown Kalamazoo. The following day

August 29th, 2014, Johnson will host another BOOK SIGNING in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI in
collaboration with the New Pitts Funeral Home. This event will take place at The Big Eazy from 5:30pm –

Johnson is taking his inspirational and motivational talks to the K-12 population, college campuses,
athletic teams, conferences, and communities across the country. Both books are also available on
