As a condition to being considered for the contest, you hereby represent and warrant that the following statements are true and correct and that you agree to the terms and conditions contained herein:
The contest is open to all, however, BACC board & staff is not eligible to participate. Participation in the promotion/contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules.
Be prepared to upload your design in the following format: PSD (Photoshop), AI (Adobe Illustrator), jpeg, eps or PDF.
The top three designs will be selected by BACC board and staff and the winning design will be printed on the official 2019 Black Arts Festival T-shirt. The winning design is selected by online public vote.
BACC reserves the right to use all designs for future marketing purposes.
No reproduced images will be accepted. Your submission must be original artwork.
There is no limit to the number of entries per entrant during the entry period.
If your submission needs to be reproduced to ensure the highest quality of printing, we will do our best to recreate the most accurate design.
Deadline for submission: April 26, 2019 (midnight ET)
You must complete the entire application. Entries will not be accepted if application is incomplete or sent separately from the online form.
Selection of top three submissions: May 3, 2019
Top three finalist will be notified that their design has made it to the next round of online voting. Please do not call regarding the selection process.
Deadline for voting on the top three finalists: May 13, 2019
Criteria for Selecting the Winning Design
The winning design will be determined by the creativity of the design and how well it incorporates black art, black culture and our theme of Impact. A panel of judges will select the three finalists to move forward in the competition.
Selection of winner: May 14, 2019
Winner will be notified via phone call and email as well as announced on our social media.
The winner will receive the following:
- One shirt of their design
- Receive $2 of each sale on launch day, Saturday June 1, 2019.
- Recognition on the BAF 2019 website, emails and social media.
The submission form must be filled out completely. All decisions are made by the BACC staff and board and are final.
If winner cannot be contacted within three days of selection, prize will be forfeited.
